One of the four reasons I didn't get the diesel was the vibration. I rolled up to a stop light AFTER a test drive of 16 km, and saw the steering wheel vibrate with a displacement of 2 cm, which was not for me; it was just as bad when I began the drive. This was a demonstrator, mind you, with a pushy salesman next to me. You might try adjusting the idle frequency so that it doesn't resonate with the steering wheel's natural frequencys.
