Since USPS charges real money, there would probably be a problem unless each organization had its own gateway into the system. But the rates are so cheap ($.25 per note) that somebody might get generous! Allow me to propose a syntax for addresses: Mark.Horton/5850.Local.Ln.Apt.2A/Columbus,.Ohio.43213@USPS >From what I have heard about ECOM, it can only be used for mailings of at least 200 copies of the same letter. This makes the minimum cost for a mailing $50.00 . One use that was mentioned was for airlines to send new schedules to all travel agents at once. Even though the letter is sent electronicly at the start, it still can take two days for the letter to reach its destination, which is not the speed I associate with electronic mail. I am looking forward to the day when I can send personal electronic mail to anybody, but currently I only have one mother. B.J.
