Followups are submissions to a newsgroup, and most people will want to read them. Many followups contain actual original information, not just answers to queries. In my opinion, the followups are part of the newsgroup, but putting them in a subgroup allows somebody who wants to restrict his information flow to do so. That's a lot better than forcing all the people who want to see followups to the articles to subscribe to the mishmash of net.misc! ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
