Most duplicates of articles originating on USENET are also of this type; they often contain different spacings or possibly some corrected spelling. However, the duplicated digests almost always (I think all, but CYA is always in effect) have different article IDs (from ucbvax, since they come from the ARPAnet) and have different submittal times (ie, when they GOT to ucbvax). This implies that they were sent to ucbvax multiple times. Is there contrary evidence to this? Can anybody at Berkeley look at a log or something and prove/disprove/disavow any knowledge? ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
