Mutated 'ed'.
If there's anyone interested in a highly modified and improved
  version of 'ed' (called 'ted'), please notify me.
This version has a much improved user interface with human-oriented
  error messages and a settable prompting system. It has various
  options available for custom tailoring the enviroment. It has
  devices built in to guard against file loss/damage due to system
  crashes/errors.
A help facility has been built into it to provide aid to the lost
  user.
It will compile and run under either a version 6 or version 7 system.
