Autzoo.1594 net.news.b utzoo!henry Thu Apr 22 16:27:59 1982 duplicate articles Since decvax converted to B news, we get a steady stream (several per night) of duplicate news articles. I am not sure of the reason, but there is one highly suggestive thing: many of them carry dates older than the 2 weeks that I understand is B news's default expiry time. Surprise, folks, there really are Usenet loops longer than 2 weeks! For example, we got zeppo.168 for the second time last night; the two routes were: decvax!ucbvax!ihnss!mhtsa!mhuxt!cbosg!harpo!zeppo!mmc decvax!ucbvax!npois!cbosg!cbosgd!harpo!zeppo!mmc zeppo.168 is dated 1 April. Is anybody else seeing this? Any thoughts on cures? It's wasting phone money, although not a lot SO FAR. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
