Acbosgd.2100 net.news.b utcsrgv!utzoo!decvax!ucbvax!mhtsa!ihnss!cbosg!cbosgd!mark Wed Mar 3 10:22:46 1982 diff of Mail from 4.1BSD In response to popular request, I am enclosing a diff from the 4.1BSD Mail directory /usr/src/cmd/ucbmail to my current version of Mail. There are LOTS of differences here, the one you'll notice right awawy is that you get Status: R in all your messages. This is so Mail can keep track of what it's seen and start you at the first new message. Please - I am NOT in the business of supporting Mail and I will not even attempt to worry about bug reports. This works for me just fine on 4.1BSD and can probably be made to work on other systems (although it is said to have problems handling interrupts on other systems). I'm just sending this out so you can get the -T option for readnews -M. There is no updated documentation other than the help files. This is NOT a version I've been working on, my mods are very minor and mostly consist of installing new features from Berkeley. It's really just a newer Mail than what went out on 4.1BSD. Be sure to fix the configuration information (v7.local.h and optim.c) as this diff will probably configure you to look like me, or even worse, if you've configured yourself and changed the number of lines in optim.c, all sorts of horrible things will happen. The diff -e script will be posted on net.sources. It's about 6 minutes at 1200 baud.
