The scores were canned, and sections of them could be selected in whatever tonal color was desired. Many could be active simultaneously. I seem to have thrown away the handbill with the gentleman's name on it, but perhaps someone at utzoo or utcs can give a pointer to the group that is doing this stuff. The works were rather repititious, but interesting variations could be presented quite nicely. Of more interest was a recently hacked together device which worked by touch, and could produce signals which resulted in three dimensional output (pitch, loudness and something else). It had effective xyz axes where one of them was activated by sensing the pressure increase on the surface. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
