Aesquire.324 net.misc utzoo!decvax!harpo!esquire!nrh Wed Apr 14 12:31:56 1982 Psionics -- Put up or shut up Doesn't Scientific American offer a $10,000 prize for the first person to exhibit paranormal powers under laboratory conditions? As I recall, the test had to be of their choice, which probably leaves out statistical tests (guessing right on cards). Again, as I recall, nobody has claimed that money yet. If there's anything to psionics, perhaps someone should try. Please don't take this as a heavy-handed "unbeliever" taunting an infant science because it doesn't fit the framework of a mature one, but rather as a suggestion from someone who'd like to know if there's anything to this stuff, and sees a test all set up. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
