My wife (not ME - I would never do such a thing) even got into a deal where the commodity wasn't savings bonds but children's reading books. But the whole idea is based on getting something for nothing, a violation of the TANSTASFL law (There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch). Sure it works in the short run; American fiscal and foreign policies are similar examples of short-term vs. long-term trade-offs. But eventually it's gonna' have to cave in under it's own weight. keith ericson @ teklabs ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
