Aqumix.1043 net.micro,net.general utcsrgv!utzoo!decvax!ittvax!qumix!msc Mon Apr 5 13:37:31 1982 8086 compiler and assemblers This is in reply to arpavax:mosher's query. My mail reply was returned as undeliverable. Try Microtec in Sunnyvale, CA (408 733 2919) for cross assemblers written in FORTRAN IV, Virtual Systems in Walnut Creek, CA (415 935 4944) for cross assemblers written in Macro-11, Boston Systems Office Waltham, MA (617 894 7800) for the same, Whitesmiths in New York City (212 799 1200) for a C cross-compiler and assembler written in C, and Language Resources in Boulder, CO (303 449 8087) for Pascal Microtec's advantage is price and they give you the source but it's a pain to make it run under f77 (at least on 4.1bsd). BSO and Virtual Systems will not release the source. BSO do not have versions to run under any Unix and Virtual can only supply versions to run under V7. It you want any more info. let me know. We have the Microtec stuff but have had difficulty installing it. We will be getting Whitesmith's stuff soon. It's only just becoming available. We chose Microtec because we have 4.1 bsd and so BSO and Virtuous Systems couldn't help.
