Can anyone out there provide assistance on the following: 1. Does there exist an infinite distributive lattice such that every chain is finite? 2. Does there exist a distributive lattice having no infinite chain, but having an N element chain, every N >= 1? An example, or counterexample for each of these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
