My favorite anomaly involving logs goes like this (I == sqrt(-1)):

		  e ** (pi * I)	= -1
		e ** 2*(pi * I)	= -1 **2 = 1
	      log (e ** 2*pi*I)	= log 1
			 2*pi*I	= 0
			      I	= 0
