Aihuxi.124 net.lang.apl utzoo!decvax!harpo!floyd!vax135!houxi!ihnss!ihuxi!otto Thu Apr 8 16:29:45 1982 Key and Bit pairing problem I just got the following note, which may be of interest to all on this net: Date-Sent: Thu Apr 8 08:35:36 1982 To: unc!duke!harpo!eagle!mhtsa!ihnss!ihuxi!otto Subject: pairings Status: R We've got the one that came with 4.1bsd, and it only seems to know one, the wrong for my terminal. (It has an )APL command, but it doesn't take arguments or ask which I really want.) Do you know where I can find a better or a way to teach this one the difference? Bruce Smith, UNC-CH I believe that this APL is the one from Purdue mentioned in my previous note. I am sending the people there all my information about Bit and Key pairing translation tables for ASCII terminals. I hope they can incorporate this information into their code so that future releases will allow use by both types of ASCII terminals. Until I get the code running on our new VAX, I can't say anything more specific about how to get around the problem. Perhaps a call to Tony Reeves at Purdue University EE Dept. (317) 494-3646 would allow a quick fix (after he has sorted out the best way to deal with the problem, that is).
