   In the proposed spirit of ecumenism I submit the following, which has
been floating around a subset of the East Coast as is (i.e., using "ethnics"
instead of a particular group) for some years now. . . .

Q: Why were the ethnics pushing the house down the street?

A: They were trying to jump-start the furnace.
