Acbosgd.2226 net.general utzoo!decvax!harpo!eagle!mhuxt!cbosg!cbosgd!mark Fri Apr 16 10:36:15 1982 announcing new newsgroup fa.teletext From: mark (Mark Horton) From: lauren at UCLA-Security (Lauren Weinstein) Subject: Message announcing TELETEXT list availability Greetings. This message announces the availability of the fa.teletext newsgroup. The actual source mailing list is TELETEXT@AI, with Administrivia requests to be sent to TELETEXT-REQUEST@AI. This list has existed for around two years or so, and discusses all aspects of TELETEXT (data transmission over broadcast television channels), VIEWDATA (consumer-oriented dialup/cable database systems), DIGICASTING (data transmission over FM broadcast subcarriers), closed- captioning, and related technologies. At various times we have discussed most of the players in the "teletext" arena from various parts of the world: ANTIOPE, CEEFAX, TELIDON, AT&T Presentation Level Protocol, etc. This is a direct distribution list and will remain so unless traffic becomes unreasonably heavy. The current list archives are in AI:GEOFF;TELTXT RECORD. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks much. --Lauren-- [Lauren@UCLA-Security] [ucbvax!ucla-s!lauren] ---------- [To post to the newsgroup, mail to ucbvax!teletext -- Mark] ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
