Whenever a Lawyer requires me to put a * (TM of Bell Labs) after something, its time to change the name. UNIX original intent was MULTICS, only smaller, but it has grown. So how about FOUREX, which preserves the punning nature of the name, yet suggests something larger. Other suggestions were: fred, yaos (yet another O.S.), ... That's the general idea, I don't think I got the wording right.
