Afloyd.73 net.general utcsrgv!utzoo!decvax!duke!chico!harpo!floyd!trb Wed Feb 10 11:09:32 1982 Look what cat drug in... I just got a piece of junk mail from a headhunter (Dear Professional;...) Nothing new, right? This one admitted that "We noted with interest that you had attended the recent USENIX Winter Conference..." At least they admitted it. I think the list of conferees with their names and addresses is a great idea. I DON'T want junk mail from employment agencies. If you want to put up a recruiting note at a USENIX, fine. But as long as I have a means here to express my dissatisfaction, I want it to be known that I look with bad feelings toward companies that badger me by abusing a valuable resource. I wouldn't want a future list of conferees to not have addresses just because some losers bother some of the good folks on the list with junk mail. Don't call us, we'll call you.
