Adecvax.161 net.general utcsrgv!utzoo!decvax!aps Wed Feb 10 18:42:52 1982 Nationwide Access to a computer I am interested in knowing what alternatives there are for providing dial-up access to a computer. In other words, there are going to be people who could be any where continental US who will require the capability to dial into a given computer (located in the Long Island, New York, area). Does anybody have experience with Timnet or Telenet or others? Cost to install; cost to end user; reliability? Responses can go to decvax!aps or aps@DEC-MARLBORO. Thanks. Armando Stettner. P.S. This is one of those infamous requests on behalf of a friend. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
