Rather than remembering all these, and keeping them up to date, it seems to me that it makes much more sense to define a common name on the net for the contact userid ('contact' seems fine to me, although this name has to be one that will conflict with no normal user name that might come up) that anybody could mail to in relative safety. This could be done either with an actual account, or with a system alias. (The alias has the advantage that it really is the contact person, even if s/he changes, and could even point to another machine if there is one administrator for a large group) I guess every machine has a root, but the mail for this userid is not reliably read.
