Perhaps a user interactively develops a page of text on the screen as he/she wants it to appear and then makes pretty much an exact copy on paper. This is limited a little by stupid termi- nals -- wrong aspect ratio (not 8.5 x 11), lack of overstrike or bold, etc. Are there ways around these limitations which preserve a much more interacive quality than nroff has? In many applications we need a simpler, easier to learn, formatter with less power than vi/troff. Please respond directly to me, caren@berkeley. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
