Some of the questions are easy to answer and some are very obscure. As far as I am concerned, you can use any means possible to answer them. I will post the answers and winners (if anyone tries, since true punks don't care) in a couple of weeks. Send responses to unc!dce. 1. Give the names of all of the Sex Pistols' albums. (Don't include greatest hits, bootlegs, or compilations.) 2. Name the group that split into two bands, one with a new name and the other with an updated version of the old name and give the new names as well. 3. Who played bass on the Sex Pistols' "Never Mind the Bollocks..." album? 4. What group did Joe Strummer play in before the Clash? How many albums did they release? 5. What group did Marky Ramone play in before the Ramones? 6. What was the name of Elvis Costello's backup band on the album "My Aim is True"? 7. Give both titles of the song that was written by the Buzzcocks and performed by them and ex-singer Howard Devoto's group Magazine. 8. Give the stage or real names of the original members of The Damned. 9. What infamous pre-punk group did Malcom McClaren manage before he started the Sex Pistol's? 10. Name at least two backup bands that have recorded albums without the person they backed up. (Hint: Most of the names are of the form: Phil and the Blanks.) If you can answer these questions, you know some pretty obscure facts about punk rock. If there is enough response, I'll make the next one harder of easier depending on how many correct answers you get.
