Raster has lines on it like a television screen and anybody who has played Tempest will notice that they are not there (although raster lines can be faint on good video games). Atari's Space Duel also uses vector graphics as did it's forerunner Asteroids. Note that the lines on a Tempest screen are straight, even the ones that are at weird angles to the screen...without little 'jogs' in them; this is a sign of vector graphics. Also one can occasionally find a machine which is not 'focussed' correctly and actually see all the lines coming out from a common point.
