I was pretty sure of this before, but this information on the game has convinced me that pacman is, in fact, about eating things, not picking up gold in a dungeon. In fact, the conventional wisdom has it that this is why it is so popular with women. So why has the person who wrote the intro to the pacman program decided that we're picking up gold in a dungeon? That sounds like rogue, not pacman. And although this might flatter me a little, I'd prefer the intro to be correct. Can anyone shed light on why this happened? And, more importantly, shouldn't it be changed?
