Please, I implore you, tell me that there is a way to recover this game-- I was cruising along on level 19 with high strength, lots of hitpoints, three arrow trap arrows, staffs of polymorph, hit monster, light, and magic missile (two of some of them), a numerously enchanted mace and two-handed sword, and various other handy items such that not even X or U had come close ending my quest. I saved the game, and when I restarted it a few hours later I got this: "Infinite tc = loop" and my rogue game came up in some sort of messed-up open mode as if I was on a dumb terminal. Trying to play it that way only produced a mess on my screen. The same thing happened to a friend of mine. We have no idea what caused it. We can start new games okay, so our teminal capabilities ("tc"?) are set up correctly in TERMCAP, just that game doesn't seem to know it. Is there some way of setting a terminal capability option or variable to restore the game, or has Unix succeeded where Umber Hulks failed?
