Also [get this!] they had an oil pressure problem [sound familiar?]. The launch was aborted but one minute before schedule [they never got to T-:31.] Each satellite can carry 12,000 phone calls and 2 color television channels. Intelsat's satellites provide for about 66% of the world's overseas communications and domestic communications in 14 countries; it has 106 member stations.
