Aresearch.139 net.columbia utzoo!decvax!ucbvax!mhtsa!research!sjb Wed Nov 4 20:21:35 1981 delay Officials now say that the delay in launch of the shuttle will be around a week or so. It won't be for a few days until engineers can even examine the problem. The choices are: (1) Fix the APU units already on board or (2) install back up APU's. Irony: If the commands to belay the computer hold at T-9:00 of the first countdown had come about two seconds earlier, the APU pressure problem would never have been noticed. Officials now think that the problem wouldn't have threatened the launch and some say not even the landing, but decided it was the ``prudent'' thing to do to call it off. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
