Aucbvax.7015 net.bugs.2bsd utzoo!decvax!ucbvax!dove@mit-dspg@mit-mc Sun May 2 11:11:29 1982 csh & & time From: dove at mit-dspg at mit-mc I can't "source" the output of tset -sQI. I can't "source" the output of cat when the file has > 1 line. By source I mean: `tset -sQI aaa` r `cat cmds` Both commands return "ambiguous", and it appear to be due to the newlines in the resulting expansion of the stdout of the commands. Is this supposed to work? Time also behaves curiously. For instance: time (echo hello) says: Badly placed ()'s. Are these bugs in my version of csh? ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
