Aucbvax.3061 net.2bsd-bugs utzoo!decvax!duke!mhtsa!ihnss!ucbvax!william Thu Sep 10 14:21:17 1981 Re: previously missing modules BTW, there are a few other noticable bugs. The makefile for the overlayed ex does'nt work, libc can't be recompiled due to the compall scripts being wrong ( i.e cc -o read.o sys/read.s -should be, for example- as -o read.o /usr/include/sys.s sys/read.s ) Stty was wrong. Ovld is not on the tape. Ld.c has ucbpath stuff installed (not ifdef'd), by stealing a subroutine from covld.c you can make it work on site. New versions will be available as soon as I find Carl. System wise, the only obnoxious bug I know of is that taking off UCB_CLIST does funny things occasionally. We suspect ttynew as the culprit. I think the system does'nt boot from rl01's because of a define constant that's wrong in the standalone rl.c . NTTY also will cause and obvious compile error if turned off. There is an bug in rdwri.c(writei) if UCB_FSFIX on , UCB_BUFOUT off (missing ifdef case on a iomove). dequeue() go released by accident, it is'nt used, and should be deleted. Oh, and the jcl subdirectory is totally useless as it is three years out of date (I don't know how it ever go out). More on the system later.
