You can connect via serial line (now), or 3MBit or 10MBit Ethernet (later). It prints 240 points per inch, with all the "Computer Modern" Fonts created by Don Knuth. We have written Unix software to allow "line printer" emulation, complete with a queue manager (a superset of lpr), a set of programs to print troff output (such as the entire Unix Programmer's manual), and, of course, TEX.
