A VAX is big enough that some people care about who uses it. If anybody out there has any comments, or possibly accounting packages that are available, I would appreciate hearing from you. Our package goes from semiautomatically adding users to generating monthly statements and yearly reports. It covers CPU time, connect time, paper costs and long distance costs. A disk quota system is also included. Continuous quota checking is not done, however daily checking with automatic mail to the offender is done. The long distance costs apply to using "tip" like programs for system interconnection. In general the package is designed to allow us to get back to work rather than fool with charging people. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
