The main difficulty which I've heard people complaining about in implementing this is the fact that there's no record of what files are open on what file descriptors. There are, however, some cases where the user doesn't particularly need to read any files past a certain point in the execution of a program. Is there some piece of magic out there somewhere to do this? --scott (pur-ee!scott) ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
