The relavent code is: . . trmchr: .quad 8 . . . $qiow_s chan=chanl,- func=#(io$_ttyreadall!io$m_noecho!io$m_timed),- p1=buffer,p2=strlen,p3=#120.,p4=trmchr . . . The problem is the P4 parameter. It causes the routine to blow up with an access violation, unless trmchr contains a 0. In any event, the termination characters remain unchanged.
