A relatively dumb terminal package can then be used to use the micro as a terminal. According to our micro group here, the visi-term package might also be useful, as you can define you own character set - but to do so is quite a bit of work. Using the micro has one further advantage. Most, at least our, monitors are adjusted to overshoot the edges and ofter dhcannot even be adjusted in far enough to see the right and left edges of the screen. Consequently, characters are lost - which is most annoying. The micros tend to use graphics mode for output - or at least assume that you will be using a normal tv for a monitor. Consequently they work much better with monitors and do not lose characters!
