After an incredible run around with Bell residential, business and data service representatives, No one had even heard of conditioned lines, let alone able to install one for me. The two suggestions I was given involved sending a repair person out to install a polarity guard and running fex lines lines out from the closest ESS. About 19 miles. 300 baud service is poor and 1200 baud (212a) service is a joke. I live in what has been described to me as the oldest step in the country, and short of using a pair of Gunnplexers, I'm resigned to using 110 baud days and 300 at night. This is the pits...
