It appears to attempt to talk to a vadic, but after so many seconds of just the vadic on the other end being active, it turns its own carrier on until twenty seconds later when the remote vadic decides it must retry to establish connection. There is a short silence when the remote vadic turns its carrier off, and the whole thing repeats. The modem has a sticker on the front of its metal and plexiglas cabinet marked: Anderson Jacobson ADAC 1200. Does anyone know anything of this beast? Please reply to MCB@MIT-MC, as I am not on the mailing list. Any comments will be appreciated.
