Let's have two "hand-heel" bars, below (i.e., in front of) the space bar, one for CONTROL and one for META. That would be great. And if you didn't like hand-heel bars, you should be able to plug in cables attached to foot pedals, or a knee lever, as on a sewing machine. Incidentally, the knee lever is an excellent device, and very good for analog input.
