The group there is concerned with applications of cognitive science and artificial intelligence to computer-based instruction. They have an interesting collection of machines (Symbolics LM-2s, Perqs, and many 11s) and maintain a close association with the cognitive science group at UCSD and with the cognitive and instructional sciences group at Xerox Parc. Interested people should contact Jim Hollan or Ed Hutchins (714 225-7121; Hollan or Hutchins @nprdc or @bbng). ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
