The ARMS-DISCUSSION archive files are:

MC:COMMON;ARMS DISCUS  ==> A temporary archive of "recent" mail, reaped
                           every two or so weeks.

MC:DUFTY;ARMS ARC1     ==> A permanent archive of mail from August 20, 1980
                           (when this list began) to May 31, 1981.  As more
                           mail is accumulated, new archive files ARC2 etc
                           will be created.

MC:DUFTY;ARMS DISCUS   ==> An archive of mail not yet placed in the ARCn
                           files, but which may not still remain in 
                           COMMON;ARMS DISCUS.  As of now, this file
                           begins with mail from June 1, 1981.

Present project:  Organization of DUFTY;ARMS ARC1 into some semblence of
reasonable order (with the expunging of "useless" messages that are not
pertinent to ARMS-D, so that, eventually, readers will be able to look at a
particular section of the archive dealing with the topic of their interest
-- MX, Soviet intentions, handguns, etc.)  

Questions, comments, et al to ARMS-D-REQUEST (or ARMS-REQUEST). Do NOT send
to the list itself or people will hate you.
