Why are these people so concerned with removing UI elements that aren't even in the way? If a prompt came up every time you opened the browser asking for a Gopher proxy, it'd make sense, but come on... Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Settings? The "majority" of people don't even use proxies to begin with. It's almost as if these bug reports are made just so people can say they contributed to a Firefox build. I wonder if it's even worth fighting. I mean, it's 2007. If Mozilla felt the need to discontinue Gopher support, they'd have done it a long time ago. They could just end up ignoring these.
