I found the bug -- well sorta. There is something wacky going on in there on Solaris -- neither the code nor the header file mention wattr_on anywhere. I worked around it be using a different function to do the same thing. Solaris users may download the 8k gopher-3.0.4-solaris.diff file from http://www.quux.org/give-me-gopher and build from that. -- John
